Press release regarding the postponement of ITU Long Distance Duathlon WC Zofingen

Dear media representatives,
After the situation around COVID-19 has worsened again in Switzerland and worldwide in recent weeks, the ITU, IPA and Swiss Triathlon federations together with the authorities and the local organizing committee have decided to postpone the ITU Long Distance Duathlon World Championships in Zofingen to 2021.
Of particular relevance are the stricter entry restrictions to Switzerland and the increased protection requirements for major events.
All races of the event weekend are affected by the postponement.The partners involved have decided to reschedule all races of the Powerman Zofingen to May 29 and 30, 2021.
The ITU has confirmed that the Powerman Zofingen will be the official ITU Powerman Long Distance Duathlon World Championship on May 30, 2021.
The Powerman Zofingen thanks that so many athletes have registered despite the prevailing uncertainties.
The registrations will be transferred to the 2021 event and the registration portal will remain open.
